Lucite® acrylic in it’s colorless grade is as clear as the finest optical glass but is lighter in weight and has a higher breakage resistance. Its total light transmission is 92%, and its measured haze averages only 1%. Haze is cloudiness of a product that is caused by scattering of light. It is an important attribute which can be quantified and then used to assess the quality of acrylic.
